ERIC Mickens
I’m a Boulder native who attended Columbine, Casey, Boulder High, and the Univ of Colo. I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Fine Arts and Communications BA. My preferred medium is a pencil. I’m a 16-year Art teacher at Broomfield High. I brought Digital Art & Design and Art of Animation to the BVSD curriculum.
I’ve been creating art since I drew my first Godzilla when I was old enough to hold a pencil. I learned to draw by looking at comic books and pausing the VCR to draw what I saw on TV. I learned about technology by taking almost everything apart and, most times, unsuccessfully trying to put them back together. “I believe that we are all artists”.
